I think the presidents approval ratings decline are not because a lot more people are doubting the cause for the war, but rather a lot more are doubting it's outcome. Things are going badly and it is getting hard to believe we are about to turn a corner. I still support going to war, but am so disgusted with Bushs handling of postwar Iraq, that someone I think may be just as weak as Clinton in dealing with the terrorist threat is regaining consideration for my presidential vote. It's hard to see how anyone making an honest effort could screw up much worse.
