Future missions like TPF may be able to do spectroscopy on relatively nearby targets, but Einsteinian Lensing requires middle distance (10,000 LY +) targets. SO it will be a long long time before we get both spectroscopy and lensing on the same target.

Far easier to get parallax or doppler velocity to target a planet then TPF follow-up
