The United Nations was profiting from Saddam's regime.

France was profiting from Saddam's regime.

Russia was profiting from Saddam's regime.

Syria, which was on the Security Council when the invasion was being decided, was actually delivering banned weapons to Iraq at the very time it was voting on this issue.

Yet people still find it inconceivable that the United States did something about Iraq without the blessing of the U.N. and those nations that dragged their feet and threatened certain vetoes, and find it inconceivable even now that the United States does anything at all in the world without the U.N. being in charge.

What will it take to show them that the United Nations is not what they think it is?
