Some of the 6, count 'em, six people where held 82 days before this story broke into the news, the coverup failed. (And this stuff was so blatant, read about the Brits, that a lot of folks knew, had to be in the culture. Certainly these weren't the only incidents.)

Where was the outrage in February, or March, or even April? Was GWB distressed before it hit the news?

He had opportunity before now to express his apparently new-found upset. Didn't do it. Didn't do it in March, didn't do it in April.

Maybe it wouldn't have been prudent.

I suspect the righteous indignation expressed by these folks is as much over it hitting the news, becoming public, as it is for the actions. 'Cause they knew about the actions a long, long time ago.

And are only now indignant.
