The atrocities of these prisons was reported months ago to Secretary Rumsfeld.

Now, in his defense, he says he never read the report. If this is the case he should be removed from his cabinet postion. The Sec. of Defense should not blow off and ignore a report from a two star general. Minamilly this is misfeasance of his office.

What has occurred is a serious loss of the moral ascendency the US had built up as a result of the perfidy of 9-11. We have largely blow it.

Do not attempt to triavialize the seriousness of this situation or the damage it does to the thousands of decent military personell who are risking their lives every day in the service of their country.

The leadership that permitted what now appears to be an on-going practice of humiliation and degradation to detainees needs to be removed.

To not remove the head of this prison, all senior staff, all CIA connections, assets, and station chiefs involved would the sort of appeasment you have been so generous in accusing others on this board of.
