If we wanted truly to bully a nation into modernization why not invade Mexico? Their graft and corruption and economic disparity affects us so much more than an unstable country thousands of miles away.

You haven't been paying attention. Mexico is invading us.

There are fifty times as many Mexican citizens in America without permission (illegal immigrants) as there are Americans in Iraq.

On a per-capita basis, one out of every 43 people in America is a Mexican illegal. One out of every 185 people in Iraq is an American soldier.
