Did American invade Iraq without provocation? (Yes)
Is that aggression? (Yes) (Is that widely accepted as immoral? Beyond the understanding of aggressors. Read hx of WWII for common excuses.)
Is resisting aggression self-defense? (Yes)
Is America occupying Iraq after invading without provocation? (Yes)
Is resisting that occupation self-defense? (Yes)
(I had to most of the questions for obvious reasons.)
Any tortured use of language or logic which avoids those conclusions is irretreivably flawed. Probably by ideology which cannot accept any hint of being immoral or wrong.
(Ask yourself. If Iraq invaded and occupied Mytown, killed and tortured the folks of Mytown, took the water out of our wells and sold it to themselves, would resisting them be self-defense?)
