Tom, I keep hearing the same rhetoric from you that there's some sort of liberal and media agenda to discredit the United States government and yet you fail to come up with one major proof to this. Any proof of an accusation in court generally requires at a minimum the existance of one primary thing - motivation.
The people in this coutry who's political views don't fall within the conservative rhealm still share one major trait. They're all Americans and embarassing their country is an embarassment to themselves as well. Thinking that concerned citizens that don't support the war are wishing for our failure there ignores the fact that there are terrible repercussions for the prestige, economy and safety of our citizens should our country fail in it's international endeavors. So why in the world would our media or concerned citizens wish our president to fail in his tasks? It simply doesn't make sense to launch some liberal conspiracy against the current leader because ultimately an action like that hurts the group launching the conspiracy. People in media are a cross section of the entire citizenry. They have homes, children, vote in elections. Yeah, there's good and bad in the media just like any profession but from the people I've known that are writers, editors, tv producers, etc. these are extremely independent people. The very thought to most to fall in step with some conspiracy against someone like George Bush or Karl Rove would go against most of their grains.
No Tom, what I think you're seeing is millions of individuals across the country, some of which are in the media, suddenly having the lights go on and seeing that we're being grossly mismanaged.
