This could have huge ramifications on the WMD search. Saddam had huge weapons caches, some of them covering many square miles according to the Kay report. Several of these caches were inspected. However, if the inspectors were primarily looking for shells and rockets with special markings, they may have walked right past chemical weapons stocks without knowing it. I doubt they checked each shell to see if it was actually a high explosive round instead of a chemical round. The fact that this shell wasn't specially marked is sobering. It's possible they may have to start the inspection process all over again at those caches.
