Does age of a usable WMD make it any less Lethal?
Tom, does this mean that the US can claim that all of our old Nukes do not need to be accounted for, and does it make them any less dangerous?
And if we were to use an old nuke, say one built in the 1970’s, against an enemy, could we say, “Well, it was old, so it doesn’t really count.â€
That shell may have been old, but it was usable, it was unaccounted for, it was being hidden (Un marked). It was built by Iraqi during Saddam’s reign. It wasn’t any less dangerous than a new one.
Age does not matter. What matters is that Saddam claimed to have destroyed such weapons as part of the UN Resolution, and he did not.
