"Democracy" - meaningless to Cheney/bush.

Cheney/bush seem to have little regard for "democracy".

Bush supports Pakistan's military dictatorship which spread nukes around the world,

while he tries to undermine Venezuela's freely elected government,

even while castigating Castro as the only non-democratic government in the hemisphere. (Perfect examples of hypocrisy.

"Democracy" in the Middle East seems to mean US control over resources and government. Has little to do with the wishes of the people. It's a buzzword, like "freedom". Means what Cheney/bush want it to mean, little to do with a dictionary.

For instance, Spain and Turkey. Enormous pressures were brought to bear upon those countries to participate even though their populations were overwhelmingly against that unprovoked aggression. That the people could through out the politicians is true - and I'm sure they were promised "golden parachutes" courtesy of Uncle Sugar.

Central Asia is full of undemocratic regimes which have Cheney/bush crawling to them. Afghanistan is a superb example - created by the US, it's a puppet regime absolutely under the control of the US and totally unrelated to a democratic political system.

I'm afraid "democracy" must have a different meaning for conservatives than the ROW.
