Kerry is a tired out, old liberal (standard fare for the 1970s). He will bring nothing new or interesting to the presidency. This election is close only because Bush has pissed off so many people that they want him out no matter who is running against him. If Bush was running against Lieberman then all doubt would be gone with Lieberman's election assured.

I also have great respect for Carter. He restored honor to the Presidency (just what we needed after Nixon). If it was 1924, with the economy stable and no threat of war, I'd vote for Carter again. However, if it was Carter versus Bush, I would very reluctantly vote for Bush (I'd much rather have a Roosevelt or Truman as president right now).
