I don’t think President Bush would order a recount. I hope he would follow Nixon’s example. When Nixon ran against Kennedy, it was very close. Nixon’s side urged him to recount, but he thought it would be bad for the country, saying, "I could think of no worse example for nations abroad, who for the first time were trying to put free electoral procedures into effect, than that of the United States wrangling over the results of our presidential election, and even suggesting that the presidency itself could be stolen by thievery at the ballot box."

BTW, that was the election where my fellow Texan, LBJ, got dead Texans to vote for President Kennedy (LBJ probably did this illegal act on his own without Kennedy’s knowledge.) *My apologies to Ladybird, who is, and has always been, an outstanding woman. If only her husband could have followed her example.

And I would not find it funny if Kerry wins. I think he would do okay on domestic issues, but I do not think he has what it takes to protect us from terrorist.
