It all started with Eisenhower's "Atom's for Peace" program.
The USA should never have promoted civilian use of nuclear power. It was a gross blunder. Whoever can make power can make bombs. It is that simple.
Of course, the Russians have supplied Iran with its nuclear equipment, in exchange for hard currency, of course. I wonder what will happen when the Russians are the targets of such bombs in retaliation for its policies in Chechnya. Maybe the Russians will have some regrets.
Added to the fact that nuclear power is grossly uneconomical, it makes the whole thing a farce.
