Or does his faith, his zeal, come from being "Born Again"?
Has he lost his moral compass?
Has his ex-alcoholic personality twisted itself into a pathological mania where he feels his own sense of self-righteousness allows him to give orders to thousands of men to carry out acts of immoral servitude?
President George Bush believes because he has been “born againâ€, “nothing he does can be challenged on moral grounds, however unethical or evil it might appear, because all of his actions are directed by God. He can twist the truth, oppress the poor, exalt the rich, despoil the earth, ignore the law--and murder children--without the slightest compunction, the briefest moment of doubt or self-reflection, because he truly believes that God squats in his brainpan and tells him what to doâ€. Furthermore, according to Bob Woodward, the author of "Bush at War", the president has told his advisers that he does not worry about alienating other nations. “At some point we may be the only one left†he has said. “That’s OK with me. We are Americaâ€.
Now I don't know about you, but if I voted for him, I'd be cringing right now. How can you back this dangerous psychopath who has been reading too many books on Armaggedon? His rationalizations are that there's nothing worth saving, and if we follow him, we'll all be born again too.
Bush and his warmongers wallow with their god in the blood of the Old Testament. If they refuse to listen to the admonishments of Jesus Christ, maybe the Old Testament prophet Isaiah can get their attention, for when Isaiah lashed out at the Kings of Judah, he could well have been speaking directly to the Bush cabal and, sadly, to far too many of us:
"...your hands are those of murderers and your fingers are filthy with sin. You lie and grumble and oppose the good...You spend your time and energy in spinning evil plans which end up in deadly actions. You cheat and shortchange everyone. Everything you do is filled with sin; violence is your trademark. Your feet run to do evil and rush to murder; your thoughts are only of sinning, and wherever you go you leave behind a trail of misery and death. You don't know what true peace is, nor what it means to be just and good; you continually do wrong and those who follow you won't experience any peace either."
Is George Bush really a "Christian"? Or a clone of one of the Old Kings of Judah?
