colored by committee

Leave it to a comitte to decide whether Jesus actually said it. But on the other hand Christianity (or more specifically catholicism) has a lot of history with comittees, Nicea in 325 being the most famous. There it was debated whether God the Father, Christ and the Holy Ghost were the same entity. Silly, but a comittee decided they were, so they were. Interesting how theology can sometimes come down to simple democracy and politics.

Who needs scriptures colored by comittee? The text should be understandable if one simply reads it. Let the reader, not the committee decide what is worth highlighting and what is not. Just my opinion for what its worth.
