Suspect not.
I believe it is the right-wing Christians who believe in the Virgin Birth, the Ascension to heaven, Creationism, the Earth being some 6000 years old, the Bible as the inspired Word of God, and other mystical items.
Those take every bit of irrational faith that crop circles do. It's just that conservatives don't regard their irrational beliefs as irrational, ("God said it, I believe it, that settles it!") and therefore can't see the similarities between superstitions.
Doesn't seem, on the surface, to be related to political persuasion, though I have to admit that the forms of denial being practiced by conservatives now take the same mental gymnastics that literal Christianity does.
