I have major problems with ANY trial being televised. Especially a capital trial is not (in theory) and should not(in good conscience) be an entertainment.

Not O.J. Simpson, not Saddam.

Being an old fashioned liberal, I ascribe to the rule of law and think the process needs to be protected. Trials should be open to be observed, reported on, scrutinized--but not used as popular theater.
