It was not irrelevant that one of the largest organizing forces behind the anti-war movement was A.N.S.W.E.R., a known communist organization.
You can bet your ass that if the largest pro-war demonstrations had been organized by the American Nazi Party or the Ku Klux Klan, it would have made four-inch headlines, regardless of whether or not most of the actual people marching were Nazis or Klansmen. And the entire protest would have been dismissed as unretrievably tainted.
It does make a difference who's pulls the levers in politics. Keep an eye on George Soros.
