Statutory rape laws are ridiculous and should be done away with. Most teenagers are sexually active now and probably know far more about sex than their parents. To say it's fine for a teen to shag another teen but send a 20+ year old to jail for a long time for doing the same is insane. It's just another weird little quirk which has found its way into our society.

From a biological perspective, teenagers are at the height of sexual maturity. This time extends from the mid teen years until the mid twenties, and starts going down hill from there. Just look at the art celebrating the Human form spanning the past several thousand years. All of the statues, paintings, and reliefs are of people (mostly females) in their teens to early twenties. To try and label people with basic natural desires as criminal is well.....unnatural.
