Couldn't pass up your post totally, but with other things to do on this holiday I still couldn't pass on how you can not understand those very things that you so passionately preach.
As a brief example, you say

You are wrong on both counts. Social Security was a compromise proposal that FDR championed to keep a panicked congress from jumping on the bandwagon to fund the Townsend Plan which would give $ 200. per month to all over 65, provided they guaranteed not to work and take jobs away from younger workers. FDR feared this program could not be paid for under the tax structure.
YOu see, you ingnore the moderate nature of the FDR administration.
If the swimming pool were not so beckoning, I would continue.
