"No hokum here. I can use the TerraServer and clearly see shadows of trees on the ground. This picture was taken in 1992. Secret pics would have much higher resolution even in the seventies."
WOULD HAVE? SECRET? These were allegedly pictures being prepared for commercial sale -- that's Hare's story -- and in the 1970's there weren't any. You have just added 'excuse # 143' to the list of 'reasons why Hare's claims can't be verified but STILL should be believed' list.
Note also -- you do not dispute that your earlier post misrepresented what was on the show, when you stated that SHE airbrushed photrographs. If you can't even watch a TV program and report its claims accurately a few HOURS later, how can you expect Hare to accurately report a conversation DECADES later?
JimO: "Years ago, I challenged her and those who believed her to produce ANY photograph NASA took from space of Earth's surface that showed ANY tree and its shadow. My point was that such resolution was physically impossible. All I got was excuses, but never any such image"
Reply: "I doubt very much if she was able to take some souvenier pics home with her to document what she was describing. If she did I'm certain she would have shown them to you if they were declassified. The pics would have been designated as top secret."
JimO responds -- Here you are fantasizing 'useful' pseudo-facts by stating another 'would have' non-fact, regarding Top Secret. NASA neither had the personnel nor the facilities to process Top Secret space imagery then or now, nor did Hare ever claim to have had a Top Secret clearance (you must have missed that, but -- what the heck -- just 'imagine' it 'would have' been true. She didn't have to sneak out THOSE pictures -- I was requesting ANY space pictures from that decade from NASA, commercially released or just distributed for scientific study, that EVER showed enough detail to pick out shadows of trees.
Your last message indicated that you couldn't produce such an image, either, but you had no problem in producing an excuse.
No evidence, but lots of faith. There's a lot of that going around.
Do some more googling about Hare's claims, and see if she sounds technically credible regarding space technology assertions she's made.
"Looks like you've been debunked!"
Appearances are often deceiving -- but I'm not.
