God, this is so much like the 80s, it's almost word-for-word. I remember when Reagan was confronting the Soviets, and Europeans and all the "right-thinking people" were utterly aghast. His opponents couldn't understand how we could squander the world's good will by taking this unpopular stance, how he could be such a cowboy, and how such an obvious war-mad imbecile could be in charge of America. Walter Mondale's ads showed nuclear missiles flying if Reagan was elected.
Kerry will make it better. Kerry will make the French, the U.N., and all the other looters of Iraq LIKE us again. Why the left considers it so absolutely essential that the French like us is beyond me.
