Incompetence

Mr. Bush and company have proven themselves incompetent.

They based the war on failed intelligence.

They underestimated the insurgency by fourfold.

They allowed abuses in Iraqi prisons to occur.

They have lost nearly 900 Americans unnecessarily.

They have ruined our international reputation.

They have wasted hundreds of billions of dollars.

They haven't caught Osama Bin Laden.

They've allowed international terrorism to increase during the past year.

They've poisoned relations with some our best long standing allies.

They made us impotent to address serious WMD issues developing in Iran and North Korea.

And now we learn that Bush was warned about Zarqawi and his developing insurgency plans in February 2003, yet we were completely unprepared for it.

It doesn't get any worse than this, Tom. We have a group of idiots running the show in D.C.

John Kerry is a statesman and is schooled in international affairs. Unlike Bush, he'll be able to reengage the U.N. and our allies to make the reconstruction of Iraq a true international effort rather than an American burden. At this point, few, if any of our allies will take George Bush seriously enough to truly help us succeed.
