Don't think it's that big a deal. It does go without saying that an identical sign on an American embassy would be roundly condemned by the usual squawkers around the world, but what else is new.

I didn't spit on any war memorials when I was in France. The only major war memorial I visited in France contained thousands of dead Americans.
