Kerry and Edwards each said they'll buy one
Now, if Kerry were serious about saving fuel, he wouldn't be riding around in the wife's Gulfstream V business jet. A single one way coast to coast flight in a Gulfstream V uses about 2,000 gallons of fuel (actual amount depends on many factors). That's more than most families use in a year. Even if someone drove a big honking SUV that only got 10 MPG, they'd have to drive it about 20,000 miles to use the same amount of fuel as that one G-V flight.
