If space is like swiss cheese, it might have tiny holes that information can travel through, but light would need a wavelength so short to get through these holes that photons would tend to decay into lower-energy, longer wavelength, products instead - and these would be even less able to enter the holes. 'Information' wouldn't be restricted in the same way by 'size' of aperture. Information doesn't have a size associated with it. It would travel through any hole, no matter how small. And once inside the pores of the swiss cheese universe transport would be instantaneous. In fact, information would *always* travel this way, and yet still interact with normal matter & energy. This is a contradiction. The pores and the normal space would have to be the same. So size property alone would have to determine how quickly something travels through space. And there is no swiss cheese space.
