Of course, there's still enough Kerry wiggle room. The vote was for AUTHORITY for war, not an actual war. Somebody as good at slinging it as Kerry is could dance on the head of this pin for weeks, although I can't think of a single consistent reason why you would authorize someone to attack a nation if you thought there was no valid reason for doing so.
Kerry would authorize going to war for weapons of mass destruction that did not exist.
