I'm disappointed in Kerry's statement, or course. War against Iraq under these circumstances is inexcusable, no matter who did it. Even Kerry. I don't know if he were pandering or meant it, either way he's a turd for having the sentiment.

And, if the US had acted as liberators, not as if the entire Iraqi civilianian population were enemies, if the US had treated them with some modicum of respect instead of the indiscriminate shooting, bombing, and imprisonment as described by the Aussies and Brits, that may well have been over by now.

The way these people did it was guaranteed to create more enemies, more terrorists, more resistance, more deaths. No person worthy of a soul would have tolerated their family or neighbors being treated as have the Iraqis, and I don't think anyone on these boards would tolerate it without fighting back.

That's not even bottle-rocket science.
