In the early days, most formations were laid down all in the same direction, but that changed soon. Most formations have mixtures of both. And although this one was found with marker plates in some of the pathways (as noted), researchers often leave their markers in the field and forget to pull them up. I have suggested to a few of them that they have their markers monogrammed. (eg. circle measured by...)
And yes, circle makers can walk into a field from a tram line, so that you rarely see "footprints" leading into the field. Some are found in pristine condition, but if man made, the wheat is BROKEN, not bent and there are no magnetic or cell wall anomalies.
For example, the formation that went down in Ontario while I was up there last month, was probably man made. Just got off the phone with the scientist who did the soil samples and chromagraphs of that one and they are not promising. However, the one he did that appeared 3 miles north of my old home up there a couple of years ago, was an original....a mystery. Changes were found not only in the nodes and cell walls, but in the energy exchange.
