We believe that sometimes the exchange may cover the other 10 percent of the distance as well and actually reach the ground. Something similar is known to happen every night everywhere when plasma penetrates part way down (causing perturbations in the geomagnetic field). Normally these attempted penetrations are bounced back the way they came by the reflective layers of the ionosphere. These are the same reflective layers which AM radio waves bounce off to communicate over the horizon. At night these layers weaken and rise (which is why you can get AM radio reception much further away late at night).

They are weakest in the predawn hours, when most crop formations occur. The ability of plasma to penetrate these reflective layers is directly proportional to its “vorticity”; i.e. the tighter and faster spinning the plasma cloud, the further it can penetrate toward the ground. The “magnetic pinch” effect insures that as such a plasmoid descends toward the surface, it shrinks in size and spins faster (much like spinning figure skaters accelerate by pulling in their arms).

This is a perfect example of the pseudo-scintist lies... "oooh plasma vortex sounds so scientific! I think I will use that term since they used it in Star Trek once or twice!"

1) Plasma is a collection of charged particles, please explain how it could come through the atmosphere, each particle colliding with umpteen billions of other neutral particles... no answer? No surprise there

2) How the hell could it exert any force on Earth, and WHY does it only seem to do so on some poor guys nicely groomed fields...?

Get a frikkin grip people! use occams razor!
look at the choices:

1) crop circles/patterns are made by people with too much time on their hands...
2) Plasma vorticies (not ever seen in a field) somehow violate the laws of physics and touch down only in farmers fields, and by some undefined mechanism they make complex patterns in wheat...

what is more likely?

Another question: why arent there 'grove circles' where a pattern is carved in a grove of fruit trees? Could it be that chain saws are too noisy?

Anyone into crop circles is beyond help... people make them, it has been demonstrated, and the 'researchers' have been debunked... their research uses words picked at random from legit science and uses them incorrectly... garbage! These morons wouldnt know a damn thing about plasma physics... they obviously just throw around terms to lend themselves credibility...

I once saw a huge swastika in a field when flying, am I to assume the aliens are nazis? Or that maybe a bunch of assholes got together and made the pattern?
