They really want that magic number before election day so they can celebrate with wonderful media intraspectives and a complete re-hash the entire war...a re-writing of history opportunity if ever the left had one.
Soldier number 1,000 will be potrayed as yet another Bush/Cheney dupe...Fooled by Bush into making the ultimate sacrifice for a worthless cause. "Ah, if only he had a peaceful Commander in Chief like John Kerry who understood the evils of war..."
