Every road up into the Front Range of Colorado is fun, if you like lots of curves, steep grades, and un-predictable weather. Highway 50 through the Arkansas Canyon, Phantom Canyon road to Cripple Creek, H-24 up Ute Pass, Rampart Range Road (if you like 60 miles of wash-board dirt road), Gold Camp Road (follows the old railroad from Colorado Springs to Cripple Creek and is almost always washed out), Boulder Canyon, Left Hand Canyon, The Peak to Peak Highway, Clear Creek Canyon (watch for drunk gamblers!) Big Thompson Canyon, Mount Evans Road (the highest paved road in the country) the Pikes Peak toll road, Trail Ridge Road, The "Oh My God" Road (that really is its name)..All fun roads! Not to mention trying to concentrate on the road when there is so much to look at, especially geology.
Oh, I'll take the ten-miles-over-the-limit on the Boulder Turnpike over the complete and utter stand-still that is the north end of Colorado Springs anyday. They spend how much money re-doing the highway and don't add any lanes? Do not, I warn you all, do not drive through Colorado Springs at rush hour. Plan your whole trip around it if you have to. I do.

some of the greatest roads in the country, though.
