Have you ever tried Skyline Drive in Canon City? Short, one way, perched on top of the Dakota Hogback, it features an unguarded plunge off both sides of the road! I've driven 15 passenger vans full of terrified students over it several times. I assure you I was more terrified than they. I think I left permanent impressions on the steering wheel.
I recommend it highly to those travelling on H-50. Takes but fifteen minutes out of your drive and you'll never forget it. Then go drive, or walk, over the bridge at Royal Gorge. Yeah, the admission price is a rip-off, and the tourist stuff around it is silly; but hey, where else do you get to look straight down a thousand feet into a canyon?
