Too bad these guys missed Israeli operations during the Iranian hostage crisis (Reagan/Carter election) as detailed by the More Commission.

The problem is this: Saddam was a thoroughly evil man, and he had to go - but doing it without the UN was a huge mistake - result, the mess we're in.

Now the fundamental reason the US did this without the UN is that the Israeli expansionists fear that a re-invigorated UN could effectively stop their land grabs.

That's my bottom line.
