I've repeatedly posted my definition of when the war in Afghanistan and Iraq will be essentially "won."
It won't be signaled by a complete lack of terror attacks. Such attacks, as in Israel, may go on for years.
It will be when at least one, and preferably more than one, election is carried out, and both the citizens of that nation and those running for office peacefully accept the results. I see this happening sooner in Iraq than Afghanistan.
This is not going to happen soon. And it may not happen at all. It was seven years before we turned Japan back over to its people following WWII.
Another sign that the war in Iraq or Afghanistan will be won is when pro-Western governments in those nations get put on the same Leftist shitlist that the United States and Israel, among other Western nations, occupy.

- This is priceless...
- If Sen. Ted Kennedy wants to help elect Kerry, he should come out in favor of Bush. (n/t)
- Kerry does seem lackluster.
