THAT penguin!!??

Yipes!! Makes a guy want to count the keys on the board after looking at him!

Y'know, it's time again, and I'm a bit leery. When I tried to open the Knoppix CD it partitioned both my HDs. Not a particular problem, as it didn't interrupt the Win2000 which was running. HOWEVER,

when Win2000 was getting a bit "hinky" after I tried some firewalls and virus scanners, I tried to reload it.

Not only wouldn't it reload, but it said I couldn't get back into it as there were incompatible partitions on the disc.

I wound up reformatting both HDs, losing all information. Actually, I had to go through that twice, as the new partitions were screwed up.

So I made a mistake somewhere. And on the other hand,

I've had to reformat my HDs before. What the hell.

I'll root around the "distros" (distributions?) and let you know what seems "doable" for an old nosepicker with a habit of trying to do more than that of which he's capable.

Thanks a lot and I'll let you know what happens.
