At the time, the Democrats had 57 seats in the Senate, and two independents who caucused with the Democrats. Nothing happened for the next year and a half. It didn't actually get from the White House into the Senate system until last May. The Foreign Relations Committee voted to send it to the floor in July. Nothing happened then, either. This "critical" treaty has been kicked down the road for months, if not years. Then Reid, about a week ago, suddenly shoved it to the top of the Senate's To Do pile. Why?

I note the "conspiracy" strawman again. Doesn't work this time either, since I never said the Democrats deliberately held this out for three years to use against Republicans. The concept doesn't even make sense, unless they're psychic. I do suspect Reid of looking at the big pile in the inbox after the recent election and picking out something convenient to make the Republicans look like they hate handicapped people.

This isn't about the treaty, any more than Obama's monomania about an $80 billion a year tax increase is about the budget and deficit.

If there wasn't a political war going on, this probably wouldn't even have made the news. This is another "shiny object" designed to give the Democrats another reason to piss on Evil Republicans.

This isn't about balls. It's about brains.

As for "hate saturation," I recommend a trip to the comment dashboard. Do a search on "Nazi" and "fascist." Your debate technique consists of climbing a tree and throwing crap.
