At the risk of being just a little nit-picky...
The post I began this thread with contained neither "Nazi" nor "fascist" in the text. I did bring up those terms later, but only once, and only in response to another post which attempted to change the subject and reframe the argument by accusing me of using them in the past, a charge I will not deny.
That is precisely the kind of rhetorical behavior and debating technique I think I may be forgiven for characterizing as inspired by "NSDAP" tactics.
