Why does Iran want nuclear weapons in the first place?

think that constant Israeli land grabs have anything to do with it?

After Bush Snr negotiated Oslo, Iran attended the Cairo Conference with everyone else, and agrred to accept the plan. End of war, end of demand for WMD.

Of course, that was before Israeli terrorists assasinated Rabin.

Now we could run around trying to stop every attempt at WMD for the next hundred years or so, but if that's the case, you can be certain that at some point we'll fail.

I'm convinced that the way to handle this is by eliminating demand, and the way to do that is by a just Israeli/Palestinian settlement that everyone can live with.
