"Congress has held hearings on Howard Stern and "wardrobe malfunctions" at the Superbowl. It has held hearings on the networks' disastrous performance on election night 2000. Now a network is party to a fraud committed with the obvious intent of influencing an election. Where are the hearings?"
Yes. Drop everything. This is important. Think now, Rather reputation is at stake. Surely, all the Dem want a hearing in this matter?
So, if the media thinks some stupid Peterson murder case is so friggin important, are they going to become orgasmic, when the focus on attention is one of their own? This could be like the OJ Simpson trial. Now we don't have the racist issue to play with, but they lot's juicy stuff here. Simpson was a nobody going nowhere with B movie. Rather is an icon of the liberal media, certainly we recognize this largeness? In comparison Howard Stern and the tit show are in comparison minor bits in some Sit com.
Everyone gains and everyone would get joy from this Congression hearing- think of the enjoyment by Congress, think of the increased rating to networks. The only real problem is how quickly this could be finished- I mean it's a pretty open and shut case. But our elected body has a lot talent in dragging things out, they simply need to work really hard at this. The first act, could be getting the Hearing- they could play this aspect for say a week or more. Don't push this through- let some of the Dems hang themselves. Let them try to say this isn't important. Have them talk about not inferring with press- or whatever foolish thing they can think of.
Oh, the Republicans certainly want a bipartisan committee- hell, they should try to get a supermajority- or an unanimous vote. Oh yeah try to get all aboard, even say stupid things to bait some Dems. So lots of fun here before the real party begins.
