I'm talking about very porous borders and how that affects security, not about how Texas spends a great deal of money educating them. Which is nice. First good word about education in Texas I've seen.

However, what you completely missed.

The point was that if GWB can't protect the US from 3 MILLION illegal immigrants each year from one country, how can one say America is safer?

If GWB can't stop 3 MILLION illegal immigrants, why have a missile "defense" shield? Someone would just drag a warhead across the border.

The point was, that it makes more sense to close the gaps in America's borders than to invade a country half a world away which is no threat.

Makes sense, doesn't it?
