Yes they did

Police say they told protesters about the strict no loitering rules.

I've been to protests before and I know what goes on. Police are very strict at protests regardless of who it is, because they want to insure public safety and avoid any possible confrontations. I would bet that the women in question were warned by police to move or go to jail. They most likely ignored what the police said, so therefore went to jail. I would like to hear the policemen's side of the story.

Clare Martin, 26, of Berkeley, Calif., said yesterday that she has not ruled out any options against the young man who kicked her while she was being detained by Secret Service and security detail at Madison Square Garden on the morning of Sept. 1.

She got kicked while being detained by the Secret Service huh? If she was assaulted then she needs to press charges on the perp and be done with it. Kicking people isn't a characteristic of the right only, if you watched the protesters at the Republican convention you know what I'm talking about.

"Wouldn't that little girl have been more upset to see daddy hauled away for having his partisan sign?

I'm sure she would've been.

Good thing that little girl wasn't wrestled to the ground and then kicked.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean here. I can tell you this, if a three year old kid was wrestled to the ground and kicked by an adult there would be hell to pay, and someone would be facing serious jail time.

Look, it's already been established that the guy set everything up and "Liberal heathens" was written with tongue-in-cheek so settle down. I know this sort of thing happens on both sides of the fence. I totally disagree with it, but if someone wants to use there kid as a political prop I guess that's their business. I would never do it.
