Which Iraqis and how many of them? Is this information anywhere close to correct?
"Al Jazeera reported in August that the rate was 70 percent. But polling over the summer showed unemployment typically in the teens. The nationwide figures were 14.1 percent in June, 13.8 percent in July, and just under 12 percent in August."
I know the claim is that the polls are based on a large sample, but that sample is based only on people who will talk to pollsters.
In any case, there are large numbers of Iraqis who can do the jobs that outside people are being brought in to do.
I think the poll's numbers are right for the Kurdish areas, but that's not where the armed attacks are taknig place.
