When CBS was given forged information and used it, the howling on CE went on and on and on. There were claims of deliberately supplying misinformation, CBS bias, Dan Rather bias, and various threats. It was used by some to demonstrate widespread media bias even beyond CBS.

Now, here's the link to a post about a Fox reporter who demonstrated his bias by not only writing a phony article besmirching Kerry, but posting it.

Of course there was a retraction, but after the article had been posted. Do ya think the retraction gets as much coverage as the article? Our True Believers have said they don't think so.

And here's the difference. NOT just the hypocrisy of the right by excusing and ignoring something clearly more grevious than CBS - it was WRITTEN by FOX - but by what wasn't there.

A glorious, squirming, obsessively delighted circle jerk by the left decrying the media, Fox, threatening, talking about the reporters career, etc.

I believe the right loves to picture themselves as victims, martyrs, abused but defiant. And uses that as an excuse to victimize others.

Whereas the left doesn't glory in and try to find victim status.
