It would be interesting to see how the documents hold up. I'd be curious to see though, stepping back from this issue only in regard to Iraq, how many thousands of documents we could come up with detailing the terrorist interactions of other countries in the world such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, Pakistan, etc.
If you're using this new data to warrant our invasion of Iraq, then you must also advocate immediate invasion of all the other countries as well. As a matter of fact, some of the documents didn't come to light until well after the invasion, so guess we should've bombed the Saudis first. We knew absolutely that Al-Quaida had strong and serious ties to Saudi Arabia and the ties to Saddam were tenuous at best so wouldn't logic dictate you go after the most verifiable evidence?
I think it's obvious to anyone on here that Saddam was a miserable bad guy and life experiences tell you that miserable bad people tend to hang around with other miserable bad people. It'll never come as any surprise to me that Saddam had some ties to terrorists but I've also heard hours of testimony from Mideast experts that point out that Saddam's primary concern was always his own ass and his own power and that it was unlikely he'd share much power, might or glory with any other idealogue. It's only my guess but if Saddam did have any deals with terrorism, his intent was probably to use them for his own ends more than theirs.
