There are a few things about this story that raise red flags with me. For one thing, it falls into that category, often seen in paranormal/anomalist situations, where the anonymous source for some reason takes his "amazing evidence" to some off-the-wall outfit instead of bringing it to the attention of sympathetic organizations closer to the mainstream.

This has also occurred to a number of people in the blogosphere. From National Review:

But they're not exactly the top of the media food chain, and their report will be dismissed by a certain segment of the public as a "crazy right-wing web site." Other inconsistencies are also noted.

Athough naturally some people are swallowing it whole, I'm not. Not for a while yet.
