He had the cajones to have a sign on his desk that said, "The Buck Stops Here!" And he meant it.
Bush has a sign that says "Any errors in judgement come from my intelligence staff misleading me." Ah, I see a difference here.
If I am building a house and one of my carpenters cut the trusses too short, the roof is going to fall in. It is my building and I have to suffer the loss and correct the mistake.
Not Bush. He was fed bad intelligence remember? Of course the intelligence people were his own staff and had their jobs by virtue of patronage, but hey, they put erasers on all pencils--right?
Bush is a leader. A poor leader at best, and incompetent leader most likely. A leader that doesn't mind making self-serving declarations of war to elevate himself to being a "war time president."
Wouldn't it be nice to have a president that would own the consequences of actions again?
