"If a man says he has a gun, acts like he has a gun,and convinces everyone around him he has a gun, and starts waving it around and behaving recklessly, the police are justified in shooting him (even if it turns out later he just had a black bar of soap)."
Saddam said he didn't have them, didn't wave them around threatening everyone. That was Bush, if you'll recall, even threatening nukes.
And when Saddam had 'em during the First Gulf War, he didn't use them.
Iraq didn't have WMDs. That's way the UN, of whom you made so much fun because they didn't find 'em, didn't find 'em.
Neither did George Bush and company, who, with due diligence, could have ascertained that. Saddam was disarmed. Instead, GWB and Co. chose to go to war, in contravention to international law.
The Earth is round, man did land on the Moon, the Earth wasn't created in 4003 BCE, and Saddam did not have WMDs. Deal with those issues, or not, but they are not all in the same basket.
