I just happened to be flipping through the channels the day after the strike and landed on Link TV, an international news channel. They had on a news show that gave excerpts from various news shows throughout the Mideast, including one from Jerusalem. Every channel there showed a report of the wedding bombing with pictures of bloodied victims and said nothing about the possibility that the people were involved in anything other than a wedding.
They all mentioned the US military claim that they were bombing an insurgent safe house but it was put in as an afterthought and gave the impression the disclosure was simply filler.
The problem here is that even if, as our conservative posters assume, the home actually contained legitimate targets, the harm done in a public relations sense of waging a war by brute force explosions is immense. The Arabs in the area simply hate you more the day after you do the bombing than they did the day before. Your enemy count may seem to be going down by whatever number of insurgents and bad guys you kill but you've just created double or more that number as they view the carnage.

Whether the report's right or wrong, Arab TV swears it's a wedding
